Position Description Performs coordinative work in the business or administrative operation of a specific department or college. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a department as well as the monitoring operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise staff or student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions This position works closely with the Department Administrator to handle various assigned responsibilities and projects in relation to the business operations of the Pediatrics Department, including its outpatient clinic. Responsible for ensuring departmental purchases are made, that expenses are paid in a timely fashion, and that special payments are processed accurately. Creates and submits Purchase Orders and is responsible for having and paying for items using departmental credit card in accordance with State and TTUHSC policies and laws. Maintains various spreadsheets for tracking of departmental expenditures and is responsible for ensuring department's inventory is accurate and able to be certified in addition to surplusing items no longer needed. Position may include other duties not addressed here.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or progressively responsible related experience to equal six (6) years.

Preferred Qualifications Extensive computer experience, specifically in Microsoft Excel, and in maintaining documents electronically. Ability to communicate in a professional manner both in writing and verbally.
